Tkachuk has drawn a league-leading five penalties at 5v5 and is second on the Flames with nine chances in that game state. He was great as a rookie, but he's taken his game up a notch in the first few games. Look for that to continue against an Ottawa team that isn't exactly loaded with high-end personnel on defense.

Ottawa's power play is bottom-5 in generating chances and bottom-5 in preventing short-handed chances. Don't be surprised if the Flames are able to get some good looks while down a man.

Yeah that's a pretty big piece to be missing. Reports say he's 1 week away from returning, is that accurate, inquiring minds with Karlsson in their hockey pool would like to know

Didn't see that coming ! IMO Lazar has to show something or he's going down. They have to make room for the Janitor.

Lazar's been pretty good so far. His preseason was crap but he's been good in the regular season so far. Not sure how he'll do on the top line, but we gave Chiasson up there for a while last yeae we might as well give Lazar a look too.

I agree play him tonight, Sens might score a powerplay goal! LOL In all fairness, good old classic hockey would be nice to see...physical and grinding style of game.
