When do we see that Lack Attack? Revenge game Saturday?
Smith looks like a rock so far. Total game changer. Let's hope he keeps it up!

I'm with you on Hamilton. How's he supposed to win a Norris playing just 17min ! Brodie is playing too much and need more Hammer.
Jagr looked good in the 1st but he needs a few games to get up to speed...I hope he can get up to speed anyway. |

it would be dumb to not let Smith ride this hot streak. Until he starts to feel the fatigue, or starts to let in some stinkers, I would keep on him.

Todd, any fancy charts we can see about where the shots are coming from? High danger zones vs peripheral? I ask cause if they are taking more shots from low danger areas it not as worrisome.
Anyways, Flames took the foot off the gas and let LA back in the game. Smith looks good. |

Part of me thinks they are trying to get as much time with Brodie and Harmonic together early season so that they are gelling. If I recall it took the defense a while to get GG's systems so not a bad thing that Harmonic gets ice time now to figure it out. |

With back to back games, and 3 in 4 nights, IMO they can't ride Smith too hard. He's been extremely busy, unfortunately, IMO I wouldn't be surprised to see Lack even tomorrow. Give Smith Saturday night HNC. |

Could be...just think Calgary is much better when Hammer is playing 20+ minutes. Hamonic is impressing me so far. Sure he needs some time but he's solid and he brings a bit of bite which Calgary needs more of on their back end. |

made Drew Doughty so mad he threw a temper tantrum
To be fair, though, it's not especially hard to make Doughty throw a tantrum. |

Meh, if Talbot and Holtby can play as many games as they do, Smith can handle it |

Surprised Brown looked pretty good last night. Not sure if he can keep up those minutes but gotta make LA fans happy.
Maybe you would be interested in resuscitating Brouwer's career? |

No. An injured Smith is not a useful Smith. I would not mind seeing Lack in to see what he can bring. If after a couple starts he is horrid time to bring up a kid. |

no disrespect at all, but it must be pretty refreshing for you guys to be able to talk about resting a good goalie. |

The effects a good goalie can have on the rest of a teams play is amazing. The difference in poise and confidence is always telling.
Sens fan can attest to that for sure.
Looking forward to the game tomorrow |

Plus he is 35. I tired Smith in March / April is also not a useful Smith. |

Hamilton looked as if he got banged up in his own zone on a forecheck hit. He skated bent over to the bench right afterwards. Maybe that's why his TOI was limited? don't know for sure though. |

It's weird because in 4 games I have gone from expecting everything to go in to expecting everything to be saved.
GL tomorrow! (not too much though ) |

Probably see Lack against Vancouver. Coaches seem to like to play guys against their old teams. Plus Smith is playing really good, so give him the first game. |

I don't have any fancy charts, but from what I have seen it looks like the majority of the shots are good qualiity and in high danger scoring areas. Smith has been lights out |

I thought that Brouwer was at least a useful part last night.
He stood up for Gio (who can look out for himself) after the retaliatory cheap shot that D. Brown gave out. The result?
Dustin Brown off the ice for 5 minutes and Brouwer off for 5 minutes. Giordano plays during that stretch. Win-win-win. |

Yes. Not used to it, but it makes such a difference to get timely saves.
