NJ is sending their better squad to PEI and sending the weaker group to play the Islanders. Weird in that we haven't iced a good lineup against our division. Both lineups against the Rangers were the weaker squad. I don't know if there is any reasoning behind this.
Anyway, only thing left to do is wait for the Jackwagons to start with their boring hockey and sell out comments. |

Can't quote the post for some reason, but Jersey is probably sending a better squad to PEI because it's a 'special' game in a non NHL city.
The fans there are probably pretty excited to see NHL hockey and it's nice when the teams who go actually put in some NHL veterans. |

Element of surprise, hoping to catch a few teams underestimating NJ the first time around? It could turn out to be another 8-10 points if things went really well. It could also help build a little momentum and confidence to start the season for guys like Nico and the new additions.
Just spitballing here. |

I've wondered if it's intentional or no. With Lou Lams you knew everything was intentional and he wanted to beat the Rangers every time. With Ray Shero/Hynes they might care about the evaluations and not the preseason games. Who knows? |

When White's wrist heals, and only when they add Tyson Barrie to the package as well. |

The funny part is that more than likely Sakic would be saying "add Chabot and you got a deal" and the Sens should be saying "take White out so it's just Ceci and a 1st and you got a deal"
But neither team would do that. |

Logic is that Ottawa won New York and maybe New Jersey feel like the match up against the sens would be tougher? |

Exactly. Not even sure how I feel about Duchene. l'll keep saying it, he is a small upgrade over Turris offensively but Turris is much better defensively. I don't see him as a true No.1 center. And the asking price is simply ridiculous. If Larsson gets you T.Hall, then Ceci should be enough to get you Duchene. |

I agree but I view it this way, Turris with Hoffman and Ryan would be okay, but Turris in his proper #2C position and Duchene with Hoffman and Ryan. The speed on that line would be incredible.
The price is crazy. literally the only thing stopping any movement is Sakic being ridiculous. |

Great defensive zone coverage out there boys...... |

That was ugly. This group of boys has always been good though at re grouping after an arse whooping though. Still, I feel bad the crowd on the island didn't get a closer game. |

Oh yeah no denying Duchenes is still a vuluable player and would be a nice asset on any team. I just don't think he's worth more than half of what Sakic wants. Sakic's asking price is acutally lowering the value of Duchene and doing himself a disservice. Asking price too high and not budging for way too long will lower interest in trading for the player. Sakic has to lower his asking price to an established young top 4 D and maybe a 2nd/3rd rounder if he acutally wants a deal to be reached.
