I think you're right about the West but I have to put ARI there too. Lots of people are still picking them as a basement team, I feel they've done enough to make the playoffs. In Chayka we trust..

I think the surprise team in the east will be Montreal. They're going to do something meaningful with that cap space at some point, Julien will have all hands on deck, Drouin will put up 65+ points playing center and they'll challenge TB as the top team in the Atlantic.

Noting that the Jets will be a surprise because Mason will have a 924SV% and will lead them to the post season and he's pretty much an underdog at this point

Paul Maurice is garbage.

He is the main thing holding the Jets back

I think the answer is Toronto.

Up front they are scary good. I also predict that they trade a blue chip player this year, likely a guy like Marner for an elite young Dman.

Sad thing for a habs fan is that even if they give up on Marner, Brown slides in that 2nd line winger role and their probably an even better team because of how good brown is in all zones.

Toronto is predicted to make the playoffs, I say Toronto might just be the best team out of the Atlantic.

ya that defense says no.. not saying they are a bad team..but no way they can consider better than Tampa and even MTL for that matter. They wont be far, but not yet thought

i'm surprised every year about how poorly Winnipeg continues to play.

Paul Maurice will be the first coach fired.

Did you see that Pittsburgh D.
As a group I think Toronto is better than what Pittsburgh had last year plus, I see Toronto trading a top prospect for that D help.

Toronto is scary man.

Most surprising team in East will be NYR..Every body counting them out, but w/ Revamped D, recharged Hank, and Forwards that will step up (who would've thought that NYR might have to 18 yr olds on team...might happen)

NYR will be 1st in metro! Book it...

I've enjoyed this site for years, but it feels like it's moved away from rumors and it's main focus is as a blog site now. I'll be honest, I never, ever, came here for blogs. The only reason I check this site is for the rumors . . . silly, outrageous, and yes, once in a blue moon, bang on. Anyway, like I said above, that seems to be almost completely gone. We need a computer guy with lots of time on his hands to go back and track how many of the posts are rumors vs this stuff. I bet you'd see a line that resembles a downhill ski hill. I can tell you this . . . my clicks on this site are following the same pattern. Later.

Yes, I will have to double check my records, but I believe I did see that D win the last two Stanley Cups. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Now excuse me while I go put my face in a running blender for defending Pittsburgh.
