If NHL teams expect to have more power plays this season, SOMEONE should sign Jagr, have him ride the pine, and come out for the 16 minutes of power plays each team gets a game.
Just a thought.
Teams will hire players who are penalty-kill specialists. They should consider how critical 2 good power-play units will be this season.
Jagr to Chicago makes sense. I think he's an upgrade over Panik and the fact that he's planning on signing the day Hossa goes on LTIR points towards him signing with the Hawks.
He makes the most sense in Phoenix or Vegas. He could help both teams as well as be a mentor. In Vegas he becomes a draw for fans both at home and away. While he might be a distraction for most teams he would not for a start-up like Vegas.
