Hard to imagine the Jets not lighting this roster up with the amount of NHL talent they're playing.

I'm looking forward to seeing more out of Khaira to build on his great start! I'm hoping to see Khaira get a shot with McDavid or Draisaitl this year to see what he can do. Gotta think about a replacement for Maroon sooner rather than later. Benning should be interesting to keep an eye on, too!

opening night lineup is pretty much set.

The only real questions are how long is slep out for and what they think of yammy


Strome will start on Connors wing (Maroon)
Caggiula on leons wing (lucic)
Puju/Yamamoto on nuges (jokinen)


Then when they send yammy down, cagg/slep/puju will fight for those 2 middle 6 spots most likely.
I think kassian, khaira and letestu are prob gonna be a set unit for a little while on the 4th

I like Benning and think he's gonna be a quality player, but Russel and him are gonna get eaten by top lines I think. Assistants need to be smart about d pair matching and getting them the fuk off the ice

Yeah, that D pairing had some struggles tonight. In fairness, they also had to defend against a true NHL top-9 while sharing the ice with Chris Kelly and his line more often than others. It's not an easy task to excel at.

I'd personally like to see them give the younger guys a shot together higher up:

Klefbom- Larsson (23 mins/night, slight def. push)
Nurse- Benning (19 mins/night, slight off. push)
Auvitu- Russell (18 mins/night slight def. push)

Any line up that has Caggiula on the top line is no where near "great".

I was SURE you guys got another superstar when you drafted Pulju. Watched him play in pretty much every tourney for Finland. He was always, imo, in the top3 in those tourneys. What the (frank) happened?

He's 19 years and like 4 months old and has played 1 preseason game this year; what do you mean what the (frank) happened?

The problems with his game are actually pretty much the same ones that he had in those tournies. Go back and watch his shift-by-shift play and not just his highlights and you can quite clearly see that he made a good number of mistakes and had some issues maintaining smooth and consistent puck possession. He gives effort and has the tools but currently doesn't play the way he needs to in order to post strong offensive numbers in the NHL.
