"The Blackhawks are a team that had to get really lucky results last year just to make it."
Because 109 points were just enough to make the playoffs.
We get it. You hate the Hawks. However, your steadfast denial of facts is rather disconcerting and troubling. |

Would you expect anymore from a leaf fan that has never played hockey and puts all his trust in stats? Only to be proven wrong time and time again.
Myself being an electrician. I find dealing with stats people are like dealing with engineers, that are telling you how to do your job, without ever actually doing it themselves before... "well it looks good on paper" lol |

They're peripheral stats suggest a team that got really lucky. My feelings about them are irrelevant. |

What a terrible false comparison. When have I ever been proven wrong? I get way more stuff right than wrong, and probably have a better track record than most GMs.
Here is a fact: people who use stats to help predict the future get more right than those who just guess. But also, the best sports handicapper in the world loses 40% of the time, so predicting things never works out well for anyone.
Plus, I've played tons of hockey and while I won't ever make the NHL, I'm decent. |

I already got out on my wallet and bet a C note on the Leafs winning the Cup this year at 14-1. I thinking of booking them winning their division too. |

When have you ever been proven wrong? Seriously? You're wrong most of the time. Secondly, you don't have a track record. You've never been a GM so you have zero track record to compare to any GM. NHL GM's don't guess. |

Honestly, the Leafs winning the Cup isn't THAT outrageous. I mean, they'd have to get through Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Ottawa (who I think are severely underrated) and Columbus, but I could in theory see it. I don't think they will, but this is far from the most outrageous claim Tanner has ever made.
I can also see Calgary winning at least the Pacific if not the West, but I think it'll be a constant battle all year between the Flames, Oilers, and Ducks for thar Division. I still think Nashville is the team to beat in the Conference, though. Why you have the Kings as a playoff team is beyond me, though.
Carolina winning the East, though? Yeah. Not happening. I have Carolina in the playoffs, but certainly not winning their Division let alone Conference. I think they get the 2nd Wilcard because they're in the Metro.
Overall, not the worst article I've ever seen Tanner write. |

1. Carolina Hurricanes win the East.
2. The Toronto Maple Leafs win the Atlantic Division and Stanley Cup
How can #2 happen after #1? |

Talk about Delusions of Grandeur!
You're proven wrong in just about every blog that you post unless it's that rare moment that you're realistic, i.e. finally recognizing that the Caps are no longer a playoff-lock.
Let's move on to this:
When have I ever been proven wrong? I get way more stuff right than wrong, and probably have a better track record than most GMs.
