he should have done what a lot of celebs do and go with another, cooler name. Get paid more... should have called himself Brian Shutt, so the manager would associate him with legend Steve Shutt and pay him more based on the association... |

I just cited them as an example because I knew they did and didn't want to talk out of my ass. I didn't want to research all the teams that had while I was laying in bed. Props to EK for finally having a mobile version btw.
What I was getting at is it's the exception for teams to build their own. In baseball for example, the Giants just built their own recently but the last one prior with no public funds was dodger stadium in the 50s.

Agreed. The Flames should stay in Calgary. JUst put an expansion team in Seattle and voila, you have 2 16 team conferences. You can then move the Alberta teams to the Central division and Colorado to the Pacific to balance the divisions.
Problem solved.
