If the kid stays healthy and goes nuts this year the cost is only going to get worse.

I doubt that will happen, it's very rare that a player gets drafted high by a team and he doesn't really want to be there. People speculated about McDavid not wanting to be an Oiler but he committed to at least 11 years so far. Sure, Lindros did, and Drouin acted like a knob, but has there been even the smallest indicator that JE isn't thrilled with the Sabres?
