Perhaps now we can end the whining about the signings of Neuvirth and Elliott. There is no guarantee that Stolarz is even ready to play in the NHL in 18-19, let alone this season. In fact, he may never be an NHL goalie. With Sandstrom and/or Hart still at least 2 years away from the NHL, having 2 solid vets under reasonable contracts makes perfect sense to me.

These things happen.
I have a friend who tore his ACL standing up from a chair when his foot locked in a carpet..

Did Hextall discuss if they considered other options than another repair surgery?

I feel so bad for the kid that a whole summer of rehab was wasted.

Feel bad for the kid, but let's not act like this team is contending now or even in the foreseeable future with who is net.

I'm as excited about Hart and Sandstrom as everyone else is, but with a combined 0 NFL games between the two, they have as many question marks and "what ifs" as Elliot.

Does anyone else have that problem with their phone? Type in NHL and once you hit the space bar it switches to something else. Better start proof reading.

True. While the influx of youth is going to be a welcome change, the next few years are still rebuild time. The organization just wont publically say that word, but it's obvious that's what has been happening the last few years.

Just have to grind through this patch to get to the good years. Getting closer.

The D seems to be set (hopefully), along with the goalies. Patrick was a god-send, if he manages to stay healthy long term. G and V will continue to age so I think they will need one more elite/star forward to go along with Patrick for when that window truly opens. Can't win with mediocrity, need that core.

Edit: I will say for all the poor FA signings, Hex has done a damn good job with the prospect pool. Remember the days when we were excited about Wellwood and Gus.
