Thanks for the blog, really great to see some hockey again.

Please give us your opinion on who stands out, and if Boeser and or Juolevi have a chance to make the big club.

Safe travels

I think people need to temper their expectations of a Stud defencman., In my mind that is a clear cut # 1 and I only think there are 15-20 of them in the league at any one time. I don't think he will ever be that but do think he is capable of being a solid 1st pair guy.

I see OJ as the second coming of Salo. I think he was the best player last night. He hit, he broke up plays, he dangled on the blue line and made a great saucer pass. He did it all,

Thanks Carol,

It sucks that the smoke is messing up the weather here. Lots of hockey people at SOEC today, practices at both rinks.

I didn't think carcone had toughness in his game, he might surprise in a year or two.

Does Olli have a heavy slapper from the point? Don't remember him having anything like that, but I also haven't seen too much of him.

OJ's to me similar to Aaron Ekblad. Probably as a 2 and not a 1 though.

But does OJ have a mean streak in him?

I read an article somewhere that was talking about why there are so many good Dmen coming out of Sweden.

Talked about how in Canada hockey is a rich man's sport cause to do all the extra training and camps and summer hockey you gotta have a lot of cash.

In Sweden a lot of these guys are farm boys and are tough. As hockey is a lot cheaper their development is not stunted by lack of cash.

Food for thought.

More reason for OJ to spend the season in Finland with Sami Salo playing for Jokerit.

Benning with Bob McKenzie;

JB said he covets a "RH PP Defenceman". Something to keep in mind next June.

No, from what I have seen he rarely if ever slaps it. He's got a deceivingly lethal rister though.

So youre saying Canada has better forwards because rich parents leads to more goal scoring.
