We will be good this year. Improvements in key areas:

backup 'tender
Defense
bottom six
behind the bench (maybe most important of all)
depth
Rochester

Good blog Pach. I can't wait to see what Housely can do with the existing and new Sabres. I predict that scapegoats like Bogo and Girgs will play much better under Housely vs Disco.

Can't wait til they get back on the ice!

Clown. Ignore the naysayers. Whatever tidbits you post here is appreciated by most.

girgens could play the wing on the second line if he has a strong camp

he could use some open ice, and he never could find it while Bylsma had his players in definitive, chalkboard spots...every team seemed to know what the sabres were going to do in a given situation

i'm not sure he has the offensive instincts...dude reminds me of a player like mike grier with a scoring touch on breakaways.

Watching / Streaming Sabres game question:

I live in Buffalo, dont pay for Cable.

Are my only options:
1. Get Cable
2. Get NHL Gamecenter and VPN (change my location)
3. Links online (spotty)

?

Does anyone else do anything creative to get this to work? SlingBox (at friends house)? How about having a FiOS login, can I stream games with that?

Dude, I agree. I'm looking at him and a handful of others (like Bogo, as Pach tells us) to have big bounce-back years. Last year we had talent but it was not being used even remotely close to what it could/should have. Larsson is another who wasn't playing terribly under DD but his game could go up a notch with the change in the team system. Moulson, too.
