You've got 2 hours tops.

Also, I agree with you that Marleau, as a veteran presence, will be of great help to the Leafs in the next 3 years, even if he were to lose a step down the line.

Very good read and spot on. Really think we do need another defenceman for upgrading, perhaps this Russian guy they are over there talking to, and or possibly an upgrade on our backup for Andersen though be interesting to see a full season of the tandem we have as I don't think they are that bad. Only worry is Andersen going down for a length of time really.

Patty Marleau is a truly great guy. Overcame some issues with alcohol early in his career too.

Future hall of famer though? That's a tough call.

- Bingo!

Not a tough call at all.

He won't make it.

0 major awards (2 Lady Byng nominations).

Sure, 2 gold medals for Canada at Olympics.

But really, that's about it.

4 times he played in the all star game.

The rest of his resume is just San Jose Shark achievements.

Nope.

I guess so. He's certainly a monument for games played. I agree that the new HOF will need new criteria when the best in the entire game like Crosby or OV's PPG is much lower due to the insane parity and goalies.

Same level as Brind'amour to me. Decent number of points, really good player his whole career, but nothing that seperates him from being just a good player that played for a long time.

I don't remember but, is the HHOF the same as in baseball? Where if after a few years of not getting it you simply "can't"?

Marleau is going to the HHoF.

Others guys have gotten in for less than what he's accomplished.
