Brandon Smillie: Projecting Canadiens Lines Part 3: Lines 3 & 4 This is the last part of my dog days of summer series of line projections for the opening night this season. So far I've made my case for the formation of the top two lines at the start of the year. The top, well rounded line of Pacioretty, Danault, Gallagher and the attack line of Drouin, Galchenyuk, Lehkonen (with Drouin and Galchenyuk being somewhat interchangeable

Think those 2 lines make sense.

McCarron doesn't have to go through waivers though so they may keep DLR or Holland as extras instead...

Can't see Holland staying, he's AHL bound imo.

DLR and McCarron will battle it out but gotta expect DLR to stay. No way the Habs (who seem to like him alot for some unknown reason) lose him on waivers.

Had a good end of season last year in St-Johns...you never know. McCarron isn't really better offensively.

I don't disagree. I guess as a 4th line C, it shouldn't really matter.

As a wise man once said.

The Habs will go as far as D̶w̶i̶gh̶t̶ ̶K̶i̶n̶g̶ DLR can take them.

He was the reason the Habs lost first round. It's quite obvious.

I was SHOCKED when no NHL team offered him a contract this offseason.

You know what's harder to get through than Mono and Strep throat?

Shea Weber.

I think McCarron is better offensively, better hand around the net. He's bigger and can fight when needed (even if that's less needed nowadays)

DLR is alot faster.

Question is if McCarron has improved his speed this summer.

Not sure why anyone would want to go through him, when they can just step around him.
