Bill,

Do you think the Flyers will try to get in on any of the FA that are available today?

I remember trying to recreate that save over and over with dad when I was little. Amazing.

Booooosh. Love the guy. As GiG said, I can remember trying saves like that. Boosh and Niitty were the guys I liked when I was younger and really getting into hockey. I can't watch that shootout because I get too excited. It basically turns into a commitment of watching all 2010 playoffs highlights. That was the most fun I have ever had as a Flyers fan and what made obsessed with hockey. Without that save on Jokinen who knows what happens.

Corey Pronman ranked the Flyers the number one farm system. That makes two different sites ranking the Flyers numero uno along with the Hockey Writers. We knew Hexy was doing a good job rebuilding the farm, but it's nice to see others verify just far they've come.

I always liked Boucher. Thanks for the write-up, Bill.

these four goaltenders were all touted as potential long-term "Goalie of the Future" options for the Flyers and their pool of goalie prospects was considered the deepest in the NHL.

Great example of why I don't get excited about (or even pay attention to) prospects in general, and goaltenders specifically.

even having six of them is no guarantee that any of them will be anything special.

I remember that Boucher was a nominee for the Vezina Trophy in 2000. The Flyers would not have gotten that far without him.

Boucher was so smooth and so relaxed that rookie season (or so he seemed in the crease). One wonders how much the change in the "elder statesman" goalie in the room effected him...from Beezer to Chechmanek. Those are two radically different personalities.

Either way, Bouch was always very appreciative and gracious when I encountered him off the ice and amused at the number of different locations I would run into him...and no I was not stalking.
