Indeed it doesn' make much sense, you guys don't have the cap to take two bad contracts (Plek and Shaw).

I do like Coyle a lot though...

There's pretty much ZERO reason for the Wild do make any significant moves right now.

Indeed, no sense at all. They only one who would make sense is Danault. Because of age and salary. But Habs would have to add.

If MIN attempted a major move sending Coyle out of town, it should be a package for a #1 Center who is of similar age, i.e. Duchene. Anything else would be an unnecessary lateral move.

Could Danault emerge as a #1 Center? I don't know enough about him to say yes or no, but I think it's safe to say you're looking at his potential as a VERY good #2 Center.

Also not a strong #2.

Maybe, a good third line C. Maybe. He only got 40 points last year because the Habs had close to no other options. He is 24 and I wouldn't expect him to perform any better than he did this past year for the next handful of years.
