They offered a pretty good package around January. Had mix of NHL guys, prospects, and picks. Sakic wouldn't budge unless it had Carlo (at the time playing top-pairing minutes) or McAvoy (they weren't doing that). I ask around to other scouts with other organizations and the replies have pretty much been the same: He's never been negotiating on planet earth for two players whose stocks are going down with the ship.

The actual price will be high no matter who pays it.
Duchene is probably worth what Sakic settles for.
He's an elite player who's had a hard go of it.
He'll bounce back to form no matter where he plays next year.
Personally, i wouldn't trade him unless i got a better or equivalent return. Different parts of course.
Sakic has learned from past mistakes and hopefully The Don has as well.
I say no deal.

So duchene has low numbers, a bad stretch of 40 games and hes know worth next to nothing? Thats crap man and you know it, you dont judge what a guy has done for 8 seasons in this league consistently then try to dictate his worth bc of part of last season

Avs are not even moving Landeskog, all avs beat writers say that with how he handled last season, especially the 2nd half, he isnt going anywhere.

And what mix of guys...A bad contract in beleskey, buyout Jimmy Hayes? 3rd pairing guy Colin Miller? All you writers are teh same, laugh at the Avs no matter what....Sakic doesnt want to take a Futures package, LOLorado hes nuts, Avs gave away ROR in a futures package LOLorado he sucks. Sakic wasnt more guarantees in a Duchene trade compared to the ROR trade LOLorado he is over valuing and asking too much.

If you are going to write it, give context and reasons not just copy and paste what a lazy writer like Ryan Wilson posts. If it doesnt have a Hero Chart attached, he cant give any insit on another player or team (Wilson not Ty)

I get it, but I just don't there's much to say beyond that. Maybe he could take the write up in a different direction, but the Pastrnak stuff is definitely whats on every Bruins fan's mind right now. With the bad luck they've had recently with all of their young talented players, and the stalemate that seems to be happening right now... everyone is just holding their breath and hoping that they don't end up following that same path again.

I agree that Zboril + Beleskey is a joke, but I doubt that's what was seriously offered. It seems to me like Sakic thought he was going to be able to bully teams into fighting against each other, and was hoping for a bidding war... but it just hasn't played out like that for him. It seems like everyone else is content just waiting him out. I don't see any way Duchene can stay in COL now, and I'd be surprised if he is still there 15 games into the season.

With what I am hearing I would not be surprised if David Pasternak @NHLBruins is traded. #contractproblems @NHLNetwork
