Dahlin, Merkley, Veleno, Svechnikov fortunately I think there's enough high end talent that when Colorado, Vancouver and NJ are all terrible we should each still get a good player. |

lets be honest this is a development year for our young players and even if we added a piece or two on the blue line playing in the strongest division in the league with so many rookies on the team we probably would miss anyway Im perfectly fine with another top 5 pick it'll really set us up to have one of the top prospect pools in the league which should equate into becoming a contender for many years to come also gives us trade pieces to use while building a contender |

Yes. I fully expect Colin "The Savior" Wilson to push Avs above the 60pts mark. |

Cory isn't bouncing back. Getting hung out to dry constantly will turn any goaltender into Swiss Cheese. It's just a matter of time before this throws Schneider off his technique and it gets ugly.
The offense isn't going to rescue us because like last year we're going to be getting pushed around and pinned deep for long stretches of play. That might be fun with your girlfriend but it's a crappy way to play hockey.

NJ, Avs, Vancouver, Vegas, Coyotes. That's your bottom 5 what order is anyone's guess. |

I liked adding Stepan, but a lot of young guys need to make big jumps for them. And Smith quietly had a good season for them last year. |

Could always add the amazing Taylor for a 2nd pairing defenseman to the likes of Larrson. Ouch. Missing that boy now, for a few extra goals and no defensive capabilities.
Talent wise the Oilers lost that trade, team wise they won it HANDS DOWN. |

SAme. Dont get me wrong i really like Taylor hall. But now with Hirschier, it would be nice to have Larrson back. |

I am far from an Oilers Fan. I cheer for the Deviks more ( because of the okd devils teams ) but being realistic, now that the devils drafted NH, Larrson would be a far better fit than Taylor Hall. |

Devils were looking for a player to build around Oilers were loaded with forward talent and looking to shore up their blue line, Devils won the trade because they robbed The Oilers but the Oilers were in a position to be robbed with all the talent they have from sucking for so long |

Exactly. I'd rather have an elite forward on a team with no good forwards than a solid defenseman on a team with no good defensemen. |

Like i said Talent wise the Oilers lost this Trade, but Team wise, and until Taylor Hall actually makes a team better, having him and NH over potentially having NH and Larrson is a loss instead of a gain. And at the same time of robbing the Oilers of their player, they also robbed their own defense.

It's fine so long as Hall doesn't ask for a trade after this year. |

True. I believe with NH there now he will be quite happy, and they will build 2 really solid lines. |

Agree on the Yotes.
Big fan of Chayka and the moves he made, added a fair #1 center and got tougher on D. Cut dead weight on Doan. Feel they could make a serious push.
NJ, Van 1/2 worst, Col and VGK and bottom 4. Surprise bottom 5 team this year? SJS. |

The Devils will improve. I expect a year of hanging around contention for most of the year but falling short. I look forward to it. |
