While Matthews has potential to be a generational talent I, like most hockey fans are positive McDavid has the higher potential ceiling.

While I would love to have another high talent center like JT join the Leafs, please tell me where the cap space will come from. We are not trading Matthews. So which of Nylander or Marner would we trade. As all 3 that are presently on the team are close in age, I personally want to see the 3 of them grow together as the core of forwards for the franchise.

Just remember that we are in the dog days of summer and all the bloggers (including EK) are going to post wild a$$ sh_t to generate hits.

As for Brown, I like the guy and I hope they sign him, but after that Hyman signing and how quickly it got done kinda concerns me about Brown. He's imo a much better player who doesn't deserve more than Hyman got.

It shouldn't concern you. I remember an article that was written a few weeks ago that said the Leafs will save a certain amount of cap space by signing Brown on the first day of the season, after the rosters are set.
