If I were Shero I would've called Colorado and offered Kerfoot in exchange for Butcher. Neither of these guys want to play for the team that drafted them, so why not trade for a small chance that you could convince the other guy in a similar position? It just makes sense to be considering we would be trading away someone who we are set to loose for nothing in a couple of months... |

Neither of these guys want to play for the team that drafted them, so why not trade for a small chance that you could convince the other guy in a similar position? It would be nice to sign Kerfoot, but signing a talented young defenseman like Butcher is a lot more important to the Devils.
