Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks sign Reid Boucher, Willie to Olympics, Summer Showcase The Vancouver Canucks settled their second potential arbitration case when they signed Reid Boucher to a new one-year, one-way contract and former Canucks head coach Willie Desjardins and Vancouver player development consultant will be behind the bench for Team Canada during the 2017-18 season, including at the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang in February.

It's obvious. Why sign an overrated 3rd line plug when we can lock up Gonch for 8X8??

So Chatfield as a RSD does he look like he could rise up enough to make NHL in 3 years? Is he a late bloomer with Tanev type potential?

Considering the lineup WD might have to work with I hope team Canada can provide WD with a sh!tload of twitching medication.

OJ sounds very determined.
Plays a sound game & very mature unlike the WD slag.
Sorry doesn't cut it. Its not an eraser.
I like that he is going all out to make the team & can see it happen. In his case it may not be a rush getting into NHL. If not in the cards Europe is fine. If makes the roster then we can talk trades woohoo lol

Chatfield's style is way more aggressive than Tanev. He is more like Derick Pulliot.

He is a fast skater and will carry the puck up the ice. . He does not hesitate to go into opposing corners and when he lose the puck he is very quick to recover and get back.

Also he attacks much better when setting up plays. He had very good speed in Jrs

He also did a lot of yapping the games I seen

he is WAY more aggressive than Tanev. Tanev doesn't go more than 5 feet in from the offensive zone blueline. Chatfield isn't afraid to go 5 feet away from the opposing teams crease.
