As much as I was a fan of Mogilny growing up, his jersey isnt retired (nor should it be) so its free game. Plus with all the duds that wore 10 after Bure, they could have a lot worse guys than Gagner wear 89 and still come out alright on the PR side of it

To me, adjusting to NA ice/style is more important. Also without putting all their eggs into the Dahlen/Pettersson basket, it would be nice to build some additional chemistry with the other prospects
