I don't think it's a contest right now that McDavid is better than Matthews and likely will be through out his career, but when a 19 year old scores 40 goals you can't count him out.

There are very few, and by very few, I mean 1%, that think Matthews is, or can be, better than McDavid.

Even the other guy, I think all he's really trying to say is that if Matthews leads the Leafs to their first cup in however many years, he may end up being just as much a face of the NHL as McDavid, even if he's less of a player (which we almost all know he is).

And the Crosby/Toews comment, he's saying if there have been conversations comparing Toews to Crosby (I guess there have??? I don't know), then it's inevitable you may end up with people trying to bring up the same conversations with McDavid/Matthews (so he's basically saying Toews is to Crosby that Matthews may be to McDavid, which should make it quite obvious that he's acknowledging McDavid is better).

But you always get idiots that will take posts like that and interpret that as being said Matthews > McDavid, and then take that and project it on the entire fanbase (when in fact, nobody here has even said that).

Do you see any morons like that around?
