How does Montreal need Winnik? They don't need depth at center, they have depth at center. What they need is a #1 center.

If you want depth: Danault, Plekanec, McCarron, Mitchell, Shaw, Hudon, Holland, Byron (technically although now a LWer).

They have the depth at the position, for the bottom 2. They need the #1 to play ahead of Galchenyuk
