Chiasson: 3rd or 4th line - good fit & likely good value for what he will get paid
1st or 2nd line - not a good fit & will be in over his head.

I think his "upside" days are over. What you see (last year with the Flames) is what you will get out of him.

The Leafs are still taking to Winnipeg, but are complaining about Winnipeg not being willing to make a move until they see or feel out some other situations...

Poor Franson the guy needs to put in a great summer of skating, and work with a exceptional skating coach. In a bottom pairing role, imho I'm sure he could be effective? I he's in a top 4,he gets over welmed again imho! I think that Q in Chicago would be able to get him going, or maybe Hitch in Dallas?

I'm great. Now that Federer won Wimbledon I have nothing to watch again. Guess I'll keep my eyes on Carolina again. I'm still having a hard time believing my Wings are the worst team in the NHL. At least you Leaf fans have good things to look forward to. Especially after you get Vanek.

I'm not a fan of Maurice. To me an undisciplined team with horrible special teams reflects on the coach. Some fans still like him however....but they're idiots.

As for Chevy....this is a big year. The Thrashers were horrible when they got here. Some talent but brutal prospects. He's built through the draft and got Scheifele, Laine, Ehlers, Trouba, Morrisey etc, and hasn't traded for a quick fix. The one year they were competing he added some nice pieces down the stretch.

However this year there are a lot higher expectations...it's playoffs or bust. The pressure will be on him now. They opened the wallets this off-season and will be a cap team...so we'll see.
