Reading the article reminded me just how long Regier was around. Off the top of my head, I would have thought drafting Soupy preceded Regier's time with the Sabres. He really had a long tenure here.

I had him as an honorable mention on my 2010 40th anniversary team

I don't disagree with the idea, I just don't see a realistic path to getting one without losing salary. All the meaningful salary we have and want to move is tied up in the 16 mil or so given to the three amigos (Bogo, Moulson and gorges)
