Trading Osuna and stroman  that's part of what you should be building around! That and travis ,Sanchez to name a few! Since the new president and gm came they've franked things up some how, not sure but the team hasn't been the same!  |

Slavin played better than Rielly and Zaitsev last year. Deserved that paycheck and it's a good one for Carolina.
If anything, Rielly needs to show improvement next year if he's really to be considered a 1st pairing defenseman.
I'm not overly worried though. |

Slavin played better than Rielly and Zaitsev last year. Deserved that paycheck and it's a good one for Carolina.
If anything, Rielly needs to show improvement next year if he's really to be considered a 1st pairing defenseman.
I'm not overly worried though.

Over looked imo is Jake Gardiner. Another good contract. Also agree on your Rielly comments.

Jays need to build on pitching.
Zaitsev's deal is a little dicey because it's only 1 year sample, but he's played lots of hockey at his age so that's just the market.
Yeah that Buffalo schedule quirk is weird. Would be fitting if we need wins down the stretch. |

Gardiner, a player I've never really liked, was the Leafs best defensemen last season for sure.
He was very good and makes his contract look even better I agree. Hopefully for Leafs fans, he keeps the pace! |

He needs to be better. I think he can be, but he needs to show it. Right now, he's only a potential first pairing guy. |

I don't think 6 games confirms anything no. But his overall body of work is more than 6 games.
Interesting on a pretty damn good team in team North America he played top pair as well. |
