10 best of the rest targets for the cbj ( in no order)

-thomasVanek
-Jaromir Jagr
-Brandon Pirri
-Dan Winnik (could slot in well on the third line at center)
-PA Parenteau
-Ryan White
-Andrej Nestaril
-Vernon Fiddler
-Jimmy Hayes
-Jack Skille (good ol reliable liked him on the 4th line when he was with the cbj)

I think once Wennberg is solved , we will see movement....

We'll see. I'm not really optimistic about things. Extremely disappointing offseason for me so far.

Could not disagree with the sentiment here more. Just like Sedlak and Bjorkstrand last year, it is time for PLD, Milano, Motte and possibly Abramov to stand up and take a spot. The last thing a young, fast talented group needs is aging expensive over the hill vets. If half way in to the season they need to do something there will be plenty of time. Top teams get contributions every year from cheap young players.

If we get to halfway into the season and they need to do something then the season is probably already lost. The division is too good to have a bad start to the season.

There's also a difference between having young guys contribute and throwing young guys to the wolves. Asking PLD to take over the 3rd line spot - IF HE'S NOT READY (and I've not seen anything to really tell me he is) - is a bad move. I'd much rather pay a vet to come in and give us some depth for a season than to mess up somebody's development and not be successful.

I'm not giving the keys to the third line to Sedlak, he's got some skating issues...
