81 points in only 61 games last season! I honestly had no idea Eichel had such a productive season. If this info wasn't coming from Garth, you'd probably think it didn't even happen.

Eichel averaged .93 points per game despite his serious injury. A healthy Eichel is expected to finish in the NHL Top 10 scoring race this season.

Eichel is good, but he isn't on the same level as McDavid. If he gets 10 million you can be sure the lockout will happen.

He hasn't earned 10 mil, but it's called market value. Being the face of a market and putting up good numbers will get you there nowadays. Stamkos would have been right there with McDavid if he was inching towards free agency this offseason, it's all about timing! It's happening right now with my Bruins, there is no reason Pastrnak shouldn't be re-upped by now, but these McDavid and Kuznetsov contracts have probably thrown a wrench into whatever discussions have taken place.
