Well there's still the question of what happens with Kovy. After that I don't know where else Shero can go to improve the team. He could make a trade but we don't have much we can give up to grab a good top 4 dman or top forward. He'll have to get creative.

I would say get on the offer sheet Draisaitl band wagon but even with him on the team they'll probably still be missing the playoffs and losing 4 lottery picks

Hey Todd... if the Devils aren't done yet then what is the most likely scenario to be played out still? I like Boyle as an addition to the team, especially for his size and what he can do on the penalty kill. With such a weak market available, where does that leave the Devils now? I truly believe we still need a good offensive upside D-man and at the very least a borderline top-6 skater to put up some points for us. What good is all the money in the world if there's not much to look at.... or has it come down to trades now?

Who has a deep D pool and bad contracts that could use a sniper? Trade with the Kings? - take on Dustin Brown's awful contract (stab him onto the 4th line with Wood and Boyle) Take Muzzin and give them Kovy and someone like Santini? Just spitballing but I think it is going to be something crazy like Phaneuf for Severson or even Greene and Kovy. Sounds crazy but if they took Phanuef and signed Franson our blueline is suddenly a good bit harder to play against. Again just spitballing I have no idea.

Phanfuef is a cap dump at best and what did OTT give up that made the Leafs better? Nothing.

I think Muzzin would be a good add, he's a LSD. And no way should they trade Santini and Kovy for Muzzin and Brown, Brown's contract alone would decrease that trade value for the Kings because of how bad it is.

Also, Franson is as bad as Prout.

Radulov still out there. Maybe we get hm and Kovi . . YAKUPOV , Hemsky , Jagr and PAP are still available ALL RWs. Needa RW to play wiith HALL . STILL . Cant have Palmieri and Hall on same line . Its all out fire power.

I'd rather get some payback on the Rangers and offer sheet Skjei next year. They have Nash coming off the books, but still looks like they're going to be in some cap trouble with a bunch of RFA's looking to be paid. They'll match I'm sure but I'd love to make them overpay and handcuff them going forward.

We should sign Kovy to a 2 year deal worth like $8+ mil then offer to retain $5mil in the trade to up the return. Don't need that cap for this year or next and would make moving him easier and the return even better. Don't lose any assets or worry about Kovy going back to Russia and signing with whoever he wants next year.

At this point, if ray signs anyone, it will probably be for offense. Good thing he isnt signing guys just for signing them. If you look ay who's left, on d, its franson and markov. They arent whats needed. Maybe markov cause he can operate on the pp. on offense, radulov is already 31, no point in signing him to that ridiculous 5-6 contract. Id prefer jagr or vanek on a 1-2 yr deal to complete that second line. Not much out there right now
