Liked his speed and tenacity, but I just don't think he's going to be a consistent offensive threat. He'll likely be a bottom 6 forward, most likely a 4th liner.

The only free agent I am interested in.

am thinking it might be another brad Richards situation where they're in the running but he'll go someplace else

Really like what shanty brings offensively, and does seem to fit with what housley is looking to implement. But I find it very hard to pay a one dimensional player 7mill a season, if we pay him that, would make it very hard to add another high end dman, you'd have to think JB would have to move bogo or moulson to pay that kind of money to KS. Don't know if he can move one of them if he couldnt move them to Vegas.

Darren Pang who works in St. Louis was on WGR this morning, and said The Blues offensive players, specifically Tarasenko always wanted to be on the ice with Shattenkirk, because they knew the puck was coming to their sticks, and not up the boards or dumped in.

We literally have no one like that

here's a thought that just popped into my head, Chicago paid soupy $7m in 2008..way overpaid but helped them win the cup in 2010
