Thornton is reportedly looking for a 3 year. Personally I think CBJ is fine without him. Kovalchuk though could be a huge score. I think Wennberg and Dubinsky are fine as your top 2 Cs. Dubinsky started off the season slow but really picked up in the 2nd half. As long as Wennberg does slump CBJ should be fine.

Panarin - Dubinsky - Atkinson

That is a solid top 6. It will be interesting to see if Kane made Panarin better or Panarin made Kane better

If we somehow got both Kovy, I think you'd see Kovy and Panarin on the same line. They played in KHL together and Kovy can play RW.

Also, I think Joe would end up playing 3rd line C minutes with CBJ. Duby will continue to eat the majority of minutes because he's our best two way player and leader at the center position. Wenny is going to get top line offensive minutes. And because of that I don't see Joe with CBJ. It's nothing against him, but I don't think CBJ is looking for a top 6 C tbh. Maybe talent wise, but in reality they are looking for a guy to slot on that 3rd line, I think.
