Ya gotta be kidding....well, on the positive side- I'd rather him than Liles.
Is that a positive side or desperation? |

I'm sorry by the way. Holland is like a love child between Benning and chiarelli. So bad. |

Only way this would be a positive move is if it is a short term deal. Maybe 2 years at 4 million per year. That gives time for Carlo and McAvoy to gain experience and become more "go to" defenders.
Plus this would make McQuaid the 7th Dman. |

I hope Daley re-signs with the Pens. Class act guy and underrated. If he tests the market he'll get $3M+. With the Pens I am expecting a paycut. |

Doesn't Sttaford suck? I have images of him playing for Buffalo and a bit for Winnipeg and none of them are very kind. |

Don't want him, especially at the contract he's looking for. How's that Yandle deal looking for Florida right now? I'd stay away from Shat.
Stafford played pretty well for the Bruins. He seems like that top 6 guy that doesn't always play to a top 6 level? If that makes any sense? He can fit in pretty much anywhere in the lineup. You can ask him to play top 6 minutes, and he might not produce point-wise but he'll play responsibly defensively, and you don't have to worry about him being a liability. He had some timely goals for the Bruins last year. I think he fits in great as a 3rd line winger that can slide up in the lineup. Would be a good insurance signing for the Bruins since they're looking to roll some young guys in the lineup next year. |

Couple reasons I don't like this. I don't want him on the contract/money he wants. We would have to clear out some serious cap space to get him(which isn't a bad thing). The bad thing is if they pursue Shattenkirk, that opens them up to use someone like Carlo as trade bait to get someone like Landeskog, which I also do not want. I could see us taking Shattenkirk at way too much x way too long, and trading Carlo, Bels, + change for Landeskog + prospect/pick or something along those lines. Pray that doesn't happen. |

the blog clearly states that Daley is a veteran left shot defenseman who plays a lot of hard minutes.
Miller is none of those things. |
