They are spending like drunken sailors now that they have weaseled out of the Hossa contract. Maybe they can convince Betman that only half of Kane's and Toew's contracts should count against the cap and they can pay them under the table for the rest. I'm sure the rest of the NHL will have no problem with that.

taking a chance on Kulikov at reasonable $ amount makes sense, but I'd stay away from Alzner... due to mobility issues.

I think you are better off targeting a guy like Braden McNabb then having to lock into a guy like Alzner for $$$ and term.

I like McNabb a lot. Send the #17 to Golden Showers for him. He's young enough and fully developed. Time saver.
