It is a bit too much, but this means the Islanders are going all in. Which would be fun to see. Duchene is next I guess. |

Brutal... really feel bad for islanders fans. He is a joke. - thisisderrik
Just think of all the time and effort Garf put into that!
I've stopped careing long ago.
Cappy's gone but Snowball remains.
When he's gone. I'll give a $h!T again.
Until then, I'll sit back and marvel. |

That's the price to protect their trade assets and they should have about 11 million in cap space now. It is what it is |

@frank_seravalli
Lots of chatter #nyislanders pushed to move Grabovski's $5M to possibly make a play for both Eberle and Duchene. Interesting next few days.
Have to see what happens in the next couple days before we can really say whether it was worth it... |

knock it off. This is the biggest overreaction ever. - eichiefs9
Not really.
There were 10 more lines to fill! That would have been overreacting!
It's just so typical SNOW!
I didnt expect any different.

Agreed, but after that I'm expecting him to go full Milbury. I don't think it will be pretty. |

Honestly Dan, it seems steeper than we all thought, however let's see what the other protection deals are so we have something gauge the price Snow paid.
Again sitting here right now it was a steep price to basically take Grabo. |

I agree. I just worry how the D will look after the deals. |

When broken down this way it seems reasonable:

#isles paid 1st to Vegas to not take good NHL players & take Berube; 2nd & ok prospect to get rid of grabo $$--5 mil cap space. |

That's not a good deal. - tomburton99
No, but it's only a little higher than the going rate. Snow needed to clear cap space and he did, now it's on him to add major pieces. |

But it's gonna likely take another 1st to get Duchene. |

If your happy with whats gone down. God Bless ya.
Until I see Snowball actually improve this team.
He'll get no respect from me.
You can pat him on the back all you like and speculate (as fans have 4 ever) that he's brewing some blockbuster deal. But until that day comes.
I'll continue to laugh at this 1/2 Ass GM. - SCLI |

There is still free agency.
I used to be Hamonic's biggest protector but with how often he's hurt and his whole trade request, I'm kinda indifferent at this point. They need to do whatever it takes to keep 91 here. |
