Trouba is just not that good. Dermott and Grundstrom are A level prospects.

If Larsson is worth Taylor Hall, then yes, Trouba could get that from Toronto.

EDIT: Not that I would go for that anyway, we need JVR about as much as you do...

this is like us offering little, a first, Nogeir and Kostalek for Riely, not going to happen!! Jets have zero need for more picks or JVR with one year left on his deal

The way these Leafs fans talk about Trouba makes me think they don't understand just how good he is. He's already a top pairing guy who's getting mighty close to legit #1 status. Acquiring him locks up Toronto's D corps for the foreseeable future as one of the better ones in the league.

Much like having three scoring lines, never a bad idea to have great defensive depth either (keeping Trouba).

But yes.. a steady presence in net would go a long way in bolstering WPG's playoff chances next year...

this is not hard to understand, Trouba is our best D. He is turning into a legit top D in the NHL. The Jets control his rights for 3 more years, he can not leave unless we agree to it. Chevy proved by not panicking during Trouba's hold out last year, he will not be pushed into anything. It WILL take a massive offer, thats helps the Jets now and in the future to pry him away. It's not thats hard to understand.

I can see Rangers or Zona over paying or even Vegas making a big offer with guys they draft tomorrow.
