The Sens might keep salery ,obviously would have to if it was Edmonton he can still hit,and has a hard shot, misses alot ,but is slow! Matt, I have looked on Internet and no hockey insider have said that the high asking price for Hamonic was a stumbling block who prevent the Isles to get Duchene. Friedman only said that the asking price for Hamonic could be too high even for a player like Eberle. He never talked about Duchene.

The difference between harmonic and ebbs and duchene is salery! They ain't paying that much and sending a top 4 dman at 3.5? Locked for a few years! Imho

So he doesn't get traded or it would be a 6/7 round! He has zero value at 7mil a year! But good luck with that!

The reason Hamonic is perceived to have more value than Eberle at the moment is their contracts.

You guys will take Eakin for Eberle and be happy with it

I don't see a deal between Oilers and Sens for Dion

Phaneuf is actually a solid top 4D-man in the NHL and can actually be a solid #3 - which he proved in the playoffs. I would be very comfortable with him at 4 x 5m but right now that 7m cap hit makes it look much worse.

Don't worry, Snow over values his draft picks. He would much rather lose a player for nothing than trade a player for less than what he thinks they're worth.

Take it from someone who watched him play a lot in a different shade of Blue, you don't want Dion. Not for 7 mil per year anyway. Unless Ottawa is going to take back every bad contract on the books including that knuckle dragger Lucic, or retain half his salary, let someone else take on the burden of paying your #4 like your #1.
