Why? ROR is Mr. Hockey - Kyle Okposo is Mr. Hockey

Evander Kane peaked when we needed him to the most -

Brayden McNabb may go to Vegas -

Lehner was a miss - but Tyler Myers will most likely never play again, Drew Stafford is washed up, Brendan Lemieux? Where is he? Joel Armia? Winnipeg is STACKED and couldn't make the playoffs.

Bogosian is a miss - no doubt - but he at least has time to recover and is expected to play big minutes, and if he does recover, teh contract wont be as bad in a few years.

you're fishing here and you know it. Bogosian's best chance at recovery is a buyout and 1 year deal with a competitive team that can shelter the poop out of his incompetent ass.

never got to bogo, but I think we'll see a better version of him under Housley

It's interesting.

We all think the guy is an utter tire fire.

Craig Rivet spent lots of time on the Instigators this am talking as if Bogo could really thrive under Housley because his skill set is something Housley can really amplify

I'm sure Rivet knows a hell of a lot more about NHL defensive play than I do.

As much as I think the guy needs to be shipped out yesterday, I do think that if anybody can make Bogosian much less of an embarrassment, it's Housley.

this only happens if housley is given the personnel needed to reduce all their minutes and change their roles. dont see how they're going to do that in one off season.

2 things could help us get something out of Bogosian

1) Housley could have a nice effect

2) health... he plays much better when he's 100%

between Botterill wanting him to be more of a puck mover and housely's work with him in the WJ's Id bet anything that McCabe takes the biggest jump.

1) i had a better chance getting scarlett johansson's number while she was in edinburgh than bogosian does of being fully healthy.

2) this isnt even entirely accurate, he looks far more engaged and his legs are moving better but between the ears in his own end is still a nightmare even when "healthy". The guy needs to change his role more than anything else. labelling him as a shut down guy (no doubt thanks to the idea that hits equals defence) ruined his career

Myers is always hurt. Always.

His physique, after all, is NOT Good for the NHL - too tall, never put the muscles on he was supposed to - now what you have left is a string bean skinny D man who has no muscles to protect the ones he does have. Has no physical game so whats the point of the height? He is his own worst enemy.

Bogosian thrived in Atlanta in an uptempo system, he'll always be weary defensively but I think Housley can get him playing with confidence and the ability to jump in the attack will make him seem as less of a liability. Correct me if I'm wrong but it was either this year or last season that he had like 12 points in a 7 game stretch. Now if he can have a few of those types of stretches and be at the very least average defensively when he isn't producing offensively I'll be happy with him as a #4 or #5

What if we use your idea:

Risto McCabe
Trouba Bogo
Guhle Antipin

If the cards fall right, that could get very dynamic very quickly.
