IMO...barring trade(s) the Jets will protect 4 d-men (Trouba/Enstrom/Buff/Myers) and 4 forwards (Schiefele/Wheeler/Little/Lowry).

Why Lowry ? - because there is no similar player in the system.
Perreault is basically keeping a spot warm for Kyle Connor, so he is expendable.
Copp/Armia/Matthias/Dano - all easily replaced.

Protecting Copp, Armia, or Lowry over Dano is hilariously stupid, and therefore, hilariously Jets.
Exposing Perreault under any circumstances is hilariously stupid.
Protecting Lowry in the 8/1 format is making the choice to save a 4C over several better players.

For the record, I read on here all the time that Perrault has "one of the best contracts out there". If you look at cost per point (measuring a player's salary compared to his production). Perrault is 283rd in the NHL!!! So settle down, he is not nearly as valuable as some make him out to be.

Based on the market that has been established, a guy like Myers should be able to fetch the Jets a player in the ilk of Wayne Simmonds. For some reason Rexypoo wants to give him away for free to Vegas to protect Dano and Copp; makes no sense to me, but whatever. Also based on the established market, Trouba should be able to land us an elite forward like......(you already know what I am going to say )
