Wonder if Sutter would like to come back to western Canada?

I wouldn't rush to extend either one of them right now. The 25 game route will be the best bet. It's time to see some results.

I know that Ross77 said it a few articles back. I do find it sad and frustrating that the Jets don't seem to be into anything. There is no excitement around this team, nobody being rumored to be traded to Winnipeg. Nothing.

The only reason I fire Maurice is if Sutter will come .I actually think he has done a fine job

That's because Chevy never makes any trades. he is playing things way to safe. Look at the Preds - they trade away Shea Weber and Seth Jones and make the cup final. I don't know if Chevy having the stones to pull the trigger to make the deals this team needs. This summer is huge. If the team looks the same in September as it does now bye bye.

I know the Preds staff is probably a bit over rated at the moment with these play offs but I for one think a coach GM combo of Housley / Fenton would be excellent. With that said I'm also ok letting PM and Chevy start the year with no extensions in a 25 game show me trial.

Jets better land a legit #1 goalie... if not, let them both go. The window to figure the pieces your team is missing in the NHL aren't very big in the cap era. Gotta make moves, take some chances.

Sutter has the same problems as Maurice, the only difference is Sutter knows how to limit scoring chances. I wouldn't take either of them for free.

The 25 game 'let's just see' is probably the best route ... complicated by the fact that you will need others to fill these roles - at that time ... the timing gets tricky
.
As for who goes and who stays - how many coaching changes does a GM get ?
.
I'm not convinced Chevy is sitting on his hands - I believe it's tough to get players to Winnipeg ... having said that - its his job to get them here ... as for PoMo - - - well, look at the history and see how he tops out

I don't believe attracting players to Winnipeg is tough as we are led to believe. The day that I hear that a bonafide NHL player chooses 1-3 million dollars less to play elsewhere or in Europe then I may believe that. Every team has a salary cap. Every pending UFA, Wheeler, and Byfuglien come to mind have signed extensions. Even Evander Kane and Zach Bogosian signed extensions here that ate time out of their UFA years!

Frustrating things about the Jets are that they have only drafted and developed. There is never any chatter about signing European/Russian free agents like Montreal did with Radulov or Vegas did with Shipachayov. Or how Toronto signed Calle Rosen and Philip Holm. Last year they signed Nikita Zaitsev. Or how about how Artemi Panarin signed with Chicago? We are not even in college free agents. I remember the hype around Shultz signing with the Oilers. Just some thoughts...
