Cooool, two more ex Canucks join the organization, the more the merrier in the clubhouse. I wonder if Tony Tanti is looking for a job.

The winkie face is for leaf fans who think everything posted here is serious.

Excellent right up, I am also glad to see Manny's role increased, he was someone I enjoyed when he was a player here.

Glad to see Jarvis is back to doing what he's done his whole coaching career.....

Baumgartner ran the defense in Utica but not the PP from what I recall. Not sure how I feel about Brown coming back but perhaps he has some new tricks up his sleeve....as long as we don't see the same old same old I'll be happy.

Lidster was the worst assistant I've ever seen. As long as he's gone, I'm happy.

To be fair, i've seen it work in the playoffs this year (?Pitts, can't remember), we just didn't have the personnel to execute (read stone feet).

at least that's a possession play, carrying into the zone. Instead of dumping the puck in and asking soft players to retrieve it (see: every PP).

You need fast skaters to carry it in now. Pitts does it, but they gain the zone with speed when they do it.

Yes. That's what I'm saying.
Pmd with speed is a big need for the team.

Amid several pieces of information in the latest edition of Insider Trading on TSN, Pierre LeBrun reported that teams are “lining up” with interest for Sami Vatanen hoping Anaheim Ducks are indeed going to trade him to solve some of their expansion problems. LeBrun mentions the Toronto Maple Leafs, New Jersey Devils and the Tampa Bay Lightning in particular.

Whoever doesn't get him will be coming for Tanev.

Second round Van should look for a forward with high end skill and a gritty winger.

Pick 33 should be a defenseman i think, unless a forward drops. 55 used for forward unless a defense drops, 64 for w/e. I wouldn't mind another goalie prospect.

Looking at the central scouting rankings there really isn't many D that would be better then a forward.

Canucksarmy rankings
#27 CALLAN FOOTE
#29 HENRI JOKIHARJU
#31 URHO VAAKANAINEN
#39 CONOR TIMMINS
#50 JOSH BROOK
#51 ROBIN SALO
#54 ATRYOM MINULIN
#55 PIERRE-OLIVIER JOSEPH
#60 MAX GILDON

Unless one of those first 3 falls to 33.
