He's actually praised Daley quite a bit since his latest return. Not coincidentally, Daley has also played much better since his return, though not in game 1. |

He has actually said Daley has played well in the playoffs... Regular season, Daley was trash. Hainsey though? Trash the entire playoffs. |

"Try a set play. Remember the HBK flip play from last year’s postseason? That kind of play could probably work a few times against what Nashville is running"
I mentioned this after last game. If they're intent on pinching low, the opposite side winger may get a chance with a high flip to center. (Hags) It's also less dangerous IMO than throwing it up the wall to their all star D. Just don't ice it Hainsey |

Nice write up and some good ideas. I suggest just do not pass it blindly up the boards. I mean unless you like your own end of the ice and want to stay there for a camping trip. |

Agreed on the breakout being the most critical adjustment needed. I think the biggest problem though was the D blindly wrapping the puck around the boards. They were playing with their heads down.
Bringing the C a bit lower is good but I'd send the weak side winger streaking up the center to make the D gamble if they want to step up. I hate the idea of reversing the play with how poorly the D are handling the puck in their own zone. Give them a couple options and get the puck moving out as directly as possible. |

Good blog Ryan. I was at game 1 and watching the Pens try to push clears up the boards was maddening. They got into some of the same bad habits against the Caps and made the right adjustments. I'm confident they can do the same against the Preds. |

I think this also alleviates the pressure along the boards. 75% of the time it will be a turnover but better at center than in our zone. |

The PG indicated Hags was skating at the end of practice for a long time (he might not play today).
How about these lines:
Kunitz-Crosby-Sheary
Guentzel-Malkin-Kessel
Rust-Bonino-Rowney
Wilson-Cullen-Hornqvist
I know Guentzel played with Malkin early in the season. Maybe it is time to try him there again! |

You ever heard that saying "takes one to know one"....well those that throw around the "snowflake" insults are the true snowflakes...it is all perception and if you think other people are snowflakes, just go look in the mirror for the real snowflake.
Dude went on a big rant about "catfish" guy and being charged....a snowflake wouldn't do that now would they? A snowflake doesn't get all emotional in the moment...nope definitely doesn't happen from a snowflake. lol |

Common sense and decency have won the charges against the preds fan will be dropped...... respect for the pens org has been restored..
First off, the "Pens org" didn't do anything to him. The security and police involved was not the Pens org, so why does any respect need to be restored?
Secondly, I'm sure everyone involved would rather have it forgotten about too. but like I said before, if you can get a ticket for spitting on the street, or littering (indecent acts), why does throwing a dead fish on the ice at a professional hockey game get everyone riled up about being unfair and not decent if they charge him with something? Especially considering it wasn't just a knee jerk, passionate reaction to a game event, but a very expensive, well thought out, and premeditated act. His whole purpose for buying two tickets and traveling to the game was simply to throw a catfish on the ice.
Sorry, but he got off lucky. Common sense and decency should say he at least gets a fine, or be forced to watch the next game at the arena wearing a Crosby jersey. |

Then why would one pens fan represent the majority of pens fans? |
