Didn't somebody recently point out that the marketing for the Devils 2017-18 season contained Red and Green? Maybe this would point to these being the new norm for colors. |

Yeah, people have sent me emails, marketing ads, etc. that have been green and red. hopefully that's a sign. |

I'd think there is like zero chance the team would go back to the Christmas tree Jersey full time and nor should they. But I'd hope they can work out some way to wear them for the annual St. Patrick's day game. It's not really a third Jersey so much as a vintage jersey.

You like the red and green so much because they barely wear it. Making it the norm and it will get old quick. Keep it rare is my opinion. |

I like it because I prefer colours (like Green) to black/white |

I like the idea of the retro jerseys, but replacing the green with black. I love the striping on those jerseys.
I too love the retro red and green jerseys, but I also feel like part of what I love about them is it being a special occasion thing.
Definitely open to it though. |

I'd like to see the red and green with maybe a bit less green, maybe a darker red, something to mute the Christmas tree effect a bit. As was said earlier, we like the old ones because we don't see them as much. |

Switching to the Green and red jerseys would be awesome
And be a great way to get the fan base pumped after winning the draft lottery couple that with a hopefully successful offseason and it'll feel like a fresh start after the last miserable 5 years |

If we were going to go red and green we should have done it immediately after the 2012 cup loss. That way we could have been motivated to lose by the years of failure in red and green and be watching McDavid and Laine playing for us together by now |

I was thinking we play like it's the early 80's, might as well dress like it.... but no.

Never liked the Green and RED.
I read somewhere that logo staying and they are losing the Stripe ( Belt ) around the bottom . |

The only change is the black "belt" on the bottom of the jersey that will be removed. That's it. |
|

Yea, they already said its not going back to green. The belt is gone at the bottom, and maybe some other minor changes. It will not be an overhaul. |

I love our current Jersey and really wouldn't want to go back to the Red and Green. It works for a throwback and for the Christmas/St.Patty games but I think the red and black are stronger overall.
We already are playing as bad as we did in the 80s, no reason to return the 80s jersey as well... |

Supposedly. |

That sounds pretty reasonable and should look fine.
I wouldn't mind a deeper red color but whatever. |

I heard they're sticking to red/black.
The belt removal just a rumour, though I think it'll be true. I also think they change the shoulder scheme... maybe they'll add a hint of green to the jersey like on the shoulder.
I think with #1 pick, they're going to look to rebrand themselves... I expect "plain" just like Dallas and Nashville... the only thing I like about Nashville are the yellow buckets.
I could also see them stripping the arm stripes if they're stripping the belt |

Wouldn't mind seeing white pipping around the black shoulders. The retros have white pipping around the green shoulders. I think it looks nicer and not as plain. |

So we're going to have Detroit jerseys with a devils logo on front |

I thought reports were that these would be minor changes? Seems like a color change is tad bigger than that. |
