Drouin for Duchene does not make sense. Both teams are looking to acquire D.

I don't really see how Tampa need Duchene. They are strong at C already so it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to trade for another C when, if anything, they need better Defensemen and trading Drouin would leave a big hole on the wing. If this trade were to happen, I would be very surprised.

If the trade were to happen for drouin, then the Avs would be taking a ton of bad cap hits.

The only way this could be true is if SY has another trade coming later.

If the Avs trade Duchene without acquiring a defenseman they would be insane.

Hunwick is a decent 6-7 d.

Vancouver could sign him and flip him for a 4th/5th rounder at the deadline.

But a hard pass for the Leafs
