Maybe one of the funniest thing I ever seen. My brother showed me it a while ago and I still laugh

a former president was also a Hollywood movie star. how about that....

your hatred towards Trump is wonderful. The more people hate him makes me think he is the right man for the job at this time.

Hey whatever you think of his policies and politics is one thing. At this point, shouldn't we be concerned that he actually can't speak properly?

I was floored yesterday when I realized that a) not only did the President of America say a sentence that made no sense at all, but b) no one even mentioned it.

I can't find the video that I saw yesterday, but the one below, it's 15 seconds long and is an example of something he does all the time.

Even if you like him, you have to admit that it's extreme concerning, just for the guy's health that he does this. That isn't normal, he's probably sick.

they have nothing on him and that is frustrating a lot of people. They are trying tio undermine him at every turn which is despicable. He isn't buying into the Washington politics. He is shaking things up which has been long overdue.

I am middle class so not concerned at all as we get hosed regardless.

Wouldn't be a Tanner blog without shoehorning in some ideologically driven bias/catty hatred against anyone who disagrees with his politics.

Too bad, as otherwise, wasn't a bad affair, this time around.

one assumes this was John Chayka's decision

I have no idea if Sullivan knows what he's doing or not, but wouldn't it make sense for an analytics guy such as Chayka to surround himself with a non-analytics guy?

You wouldn't want an organization to use 100% analytics, nor would you want them to use none. Adding a like-minded thinker would add little. I think having opposing viewpoints would be much more beneficial than having yes men.

I am not going to waste time pointing out the litany of things both illegal and immoral that disqualify him from the job and embarrass the country and lower the respect of the office, at this point anyone who doesn't see it is being unreasonable, ridiculously obtuse and in out and out denial.

There are at least two crimes - sexual assault and obstruction of justice - that he is on tape committing. That is actual fact. It's on video.

but whatever. To say that people are dispicable for coming after him though? Again, he's on video committing two crimes. There are questions of treason. Considering Clinton was nearly impeached for sex, and Obama was accused of being a foreign born communist Muslim, I think it's hilarious to use the 'poor me' defense.

But again, forget that - the guy can't string together a full sentence that would be acceptable in a grade five public speaking competition.

I am not a political person. I wouldn't mention politics in my blogs, normally. I think we're beyond politics. A dangerously stupid, immature, thin skinned man-baby has an army, several intelligence agencies and nuclear weapons at his disposal.

If a normal adult whose politics I disagree with is President you won't hear a peep out of me. I hated Stephen Harper, the PM of Canada, for year. I didn't bug people about it because at the end of the day, he was still a decent guy.

"illegal" - No, you can't point it out. Because everything you say, at this juncture, is purely speculation and anonymous sources with partial information.

"Immoral" - Won't argue there... as it is in the eye of beholder. I would say secret meetings on Airplanes with a sitting AG, hiring PR firms to slut-shame your Husbands's mistresses and using one's connections with CNN are far more "immoral" than anything else that has come out re: the Tweeter-in-Chief.

Sexual Assault - Uh...noooooo. The Bush tapes have him say "LET them grab...". Let... consent. All other accusations very quickly fell off the radar... by the same people who have tried the same stunts with the man in the past. Not saying he isn't a bit gross, but that's a HUGE charge you are laying with ZERO evidence.

Obstruction - From a partial quote from an anonymous source who may or may not know the former FBI-Director who hasn't said a word about the memo who testified on May 3rd, under oath, that he had not been obstructed with in any way.

Clinton - Was not impeached for sex... he was impeached for perjury. Nice try.

"Foreign born communist muslim" - Yeah, that was silly. Silly of Trump to go on about that after the Clinton camp started that rumour.

Clearly.

If you were, you'd have done enough research to know why Clinton was impeached instead of spreading propaganda and historical revisionism.

Was just about to say so.. However, I do not agree that just because someone has a certain way of looking at the game that they can't also be capable thinking in other ways. Besides, John C is not like your typical blogger/twitter stats-guy at all.

Also, he's been working in the Coyotes organization since 2014 in hockey ops and player development. Seems like a pretty logical promotion to me.

See that's your problem. You're outraged with an out-and-out buffoon being in office, but you're fine with a slime-ball like Harper.

All politicians at that level do deplorable things. Trump just doesn't know what subtlety is.

In a way, it's good that he got voted in, because people that are normally not politically engaged have been jolted awake and are realizing how very screwed up the two party system has become. Resistance is mobilizing and some genuine change for the better can come out of it. Of course it can get real ugly, but something big will happen either way.

Now contrast that to another sack of garbage like Hillary Clinton (or Barry Obama) slithering into office and quietly doing the same terrible things (endless war for profit, the steady scaling back of civil liberties, consolidating economic power even further, destruction of the environment, etc, etc etc etc.) while lying through her teeth. This with just enough of a veneer of civility to keep people resigned to being governed by the "grownups in the room".

Career politicians are professional bullpoopters. Kids know this. Don't root for one side because they're more media-savvy.

You should post more

While trump is in a whole other level of ridiculousness, a lot of what you say is apt.
I sorta keep flip flopping on what's worse, this narcissistic idiot clown show or self serving business as usual snake charmer crooks.

And as much as it still shocks me that guy is the president of the effing country, I think there's something positive to be said about democracy here. Even if he hoodwinked everyone, the people were frustrated with the system and they showed that the democratic proces hasn't entirely been stolen from them by lobbyists and corporations. Right or wrong, the people still hold power

But whatever, some jocks are smart and maybe Sullivan is a good choice - how would I even know?

Exactly. How would you know? You've obviously never played the game, so just slag on those who have like you've got all the answers.

Why is it so hard for you to wrap your head around the idea that maybe, just maybe the people who know best what it takes to play in the best league in the world are people who actually did it? They don't randomly pick any old ex-NHLer. There are less than 1% of former players in management positions. Maybe, just maybe those selected are placed in those roles because not only do they have that invaluable experience, but they also have a head for business, or coaching, or evaluating talent, or any of the other aspects of the game that it takes to build a solid franchise.
