Did Richer play more games for the Bolts under a different number? I seem to recall he was here a little longer, or maybe my geriatric brain is failing me....

Ready for this, the Richer you are mentioning is the Stephane Richer that wore #2. Yes, there were actually two players with the same name, playing at the same time. The Stephane Richer you are referring to was actually a 2X Stanley Cup winner. He wore #44 from 1997-2000 with the Lightning. The other Stephane Richer was a defenseman that only played in 27 total games.

This is some pretty confusing stuff because they were both born the same year, 1966, in Quebec. It actually took me about ten minutes to confidently say that these were two separate Stephane Richer's.
