I have seen so many breakaways from this kid, he just can’t put it away as often as he could.

Yep, that sounds like Trevor Lewis.

Austin Wagner and Spencer Watson bug me because they seem to always be mentioned together and I can't help but think of Nashville's Austin Watson. I hope that both don't make the NHL, because my brain won't be able to juggle all three names.

Feeding my worst fears about Wagner. He sounded like a guy with an elite tool, that can use it at a lower level but that might not translate.

Well, we could use a cheaper version of Trevor Lewis for a few years.

Wagner is going to be a player whose hands never quite catch up to his feet. I hope he can rectify that. I disagree about Watson. I think he will be a very good AHL player. He will be a point producer. Whether that ever translates to the NHL I don't know, but he will be a force in ONT.

Yea, Trevor Lewis or better is still a very useful player.

I think Brock agrees, he's just predicting a noticeable adjustment period, might struggle to put up points at first before he "gets it."

Love that contract. Also nice to get a 4th for Bishops rights. Now to get Toff on a nice contract.

Thanks!

Clague is progressing well, oozes playmaking, but obvious questions about frame and how he can handle things down-low. Will go more in depth about him in the future.

really thought he'd cost 4MM+ AAV after scoring 24...which on a sutter coached team is like 53 goals on a normal team.

thoughts on what it would take for toffoli? 6 yrs, 6mm?

If you're eating up that many of his UFA years, yea, we're talking about $6 mil I think. Hard to say for sure though, he did himself no favors with his down season. If he'd go for like 5.5 mil per, Blake should jump at that if you can get some of his UFA years.

But another short-term, lower AAV contract could be of interest for LA considering their limited cap space.

I thought Pearson would cost 4+ as well. Great contract.

Not sure what Toffoli fetches now. Hopefully around 5.5

Im hoping Toff takes a deal similar to Pearson. Maybe at 5mil tops hopefully.
