I'm having trouble seeing Kesler bump Gibson from that angle.

as a fan of neither team... I just dont see the interference if he was pushed in... that seems to be the grey area. there is no "dragging of the pad" in that replay.

I was just about to say it. Typical Ek blog putting in the wrong replay.
And naming the wrong goalie.

That's how they got screwed last game...

You're looking for the replay where Kesler dropped some soap in the crease and was looking for it in Talbot's pads.

Sure it looks like they got this one wrong.

But just about every time the refs go to a video review there is no one that knows for certain what the outcome will be and there is still plenty of grey area. The reviews were put in to get rid of the obvious errors. These reviews of "skate one inch off the ice" or tapped the goalie on the pad are ridiculous.

The oilers gave up 3 goals in 3 minutes. They alone are to blame for the loss, PERIOD!!!!!!!!!

Yeah that Kesler play is dubious...

...as Leafs fan though, seeing Chia drop his head down in response to a spectacular collapse is deeply satisfying, I enjoyed that.

What is kesler supposed to do he gets bumped in and his hand gets stuck he is still holding his stick through the whole play and trying to extricate his hand.

Yes if this was a team I cheered for I would be calling bloody murder but from an objective viewpoint Nurse and oversized goalie pads are to blame

Refs said he was pushed in. Which he obviously was. But he didn't make any attempt to get back up and out of the way after that. Should have been called off.

Moving along...

When you let 3 goals up and don't get any puck possession for 3 minutes you are to blame. What's Dana white always say.. don't leave it in the hand of the judges.. good team's close. Also They had 2 over times to score. Bad calls happen but they lost this game. They did. Not the refs. It wasn't the game winning goal they had 30 minutes to go win it after that.

The main questing to ask is was Talbit prevented from trying to make a save. In this case the shot that beats goes through his 5 hole right before he closes it. He was able to make the save, but he just didn't do it in time presumably because it took to long for him to find the puck due to all of the bodies on the ice. I think the right call was made. Talbot was capable of attempting a save.

Not even the worst call this week, yet gets covered like it's a big deal because Oilers are good for a lot of hits...

There is literally no player in the league who deserves the benefit of the doubt less than Kesler. He is an absolute dirtbag (on the ice) who took complete advantage of that situation and got away with it. (Again)

He deserves one of these every time he steps on the ice

To start I hate both these teams. Especially Kesler. That said where the hell is he going to go? Its no different than any other scramble in front of the net. Good goal.

My question to this is how was Bennett's goal disallowed in game 2 when he was shoved into the net on the other side from Gibson? 2 players shoving him into the post with incidental contact in that situation. It wasn't like he was hugging Gibson's leg, and yet it was ruled goaltender interference.

Not sure what replay you saw but Kesler was holding the 5-hole open the whole time, restricting movement. It might not have made a difference, but he might have played it completely differently without the interference.

Calbot would have been capable of attempting a save with Kesler sitting on his chest, doesn't mean it's not interference.

Pretty sure only the Bruins commit goalie interference.
