Agree, no one deserves or should be given extensions. Chevy has to do a lot more than add a veteran goalie this off season. I thought I heard Flaherty married into the Chipman family? Can anyone confirm? Might explain why he's still here.

Those "C's"are pretty gracious. This team has too much talent to finish as far down as they did. Anywhere else and they'd all would have been fired the day after the season finished.

I don't think Flaherty is part of the Chipman family.....

There will be immense pressure if Chevy extends PoMo. I wouldn't do it as things will have to go exceptionally well to keep the fans at bay. He chose Thorburn over his own career. Has also surely made Petan a player who wants out.

I see no reason to keep Huddy. He lucked out playing in Edmonton and was able to ride his association with that team to a prosperous career. He would have been just another player had he played for less talented and fortunate a team. The Jets defence has been the achilles heel since day one. He's had his run.

Kompon, I wonder how much sway he has in year one.

Woodcroft, who?

Flaherty, it amazes me that people think a goalie coach is something more than a friend to the goalie.

Chevy, He has maintained a respected scouting system and listened to them. I understand his saving money when possible on fringe players by avoiding waiver wire pick ups and getting his money worth from the contracts made. Every GM does bad moves so he is proving to be the same as all others. Trades are down league wide and few want to play in the Peg so...tougher job than all others. Haven't heard of a good trade offer he turned down.

Like I said, I heard it somewhere and didn't think it was true, was probably just a joke as to why he's still here. just thought I'd ask. Thanks

how many trade offers were you expecting to hear about. I assume GM's have conversations all the time. I'd bet the public hears less than 5% of offers made

"C's" were definitely on the generous side. How bad do we have to get before someone gets fired ?

I'm not expecting to hear about any non trades. But so many people criticize Chevy for his lack of trades. It takes two sides. I just wonder why fans get on him when they have no idea of talks behind the scene.

I think fans get on him because their patience have now run out after six years. Yes I'm aware our prospect pool was brutal when they came back but the time is now. We have assets to move to fill roles on this team. I love our prospect depth but there are 20 other organizations that like thier's as well. so I don't give him as much credit as others might for drafting well. I wish the public could hear more about offers made but it just doesn't happen. I'm convinced when Trouba held out Chevy must have received multiple offers but all we heard was speculation on the asking price, never an actual offer. This is a big summer for Chevy, that's certain. He said himself when interviewed at the draft lottery, he will not be back at the lottery next year, 100%. I took that meaning two things, 1. The Jets will make the playoffs or 2. If they don't, Chevy will be fired. Either way he won't be at the draft lottery next year.

I think he has to keep Trouba until he receives an exceptional offer or he has expired his RFA with the team.
