Thanks, Jan.
Game Lowlights:
No urgency after McD's goal, except for Grabs.
Stay out of the damned box!
Those icings didn't help either.
Thought the 4th line played pretty well. Gotta wake up the usual suspects, and Zucc.

Nice work, Jan.

I think I agree across the board. As I said in the last blog and you stated here: give somebody a pass on the bloody tape! They made everything so damn hard on themselves. Even on the play that lead to the winning goal. When Step was under pressure from an oncoming forechecker, he tried to give a pass to Vesey who was about 18 inches (45.72cm, Pete) away! What the (frank) is he supposed to do with that?? Not to mention, the pass was in his skates.

They just need to take a deep breath and play with some poise and swagger. We will be fine, so long as they keep their heads.

Good write up. It was a pretty exciting game and we we were lucky to come away with the win - it could have gone either way. I'm pretty fed up with everyone saying this series will be boring because it was extremely fast and exciting IMO. Those NY stretch passes filled me with dread much like all the NZ turn-overs probably caused your people. The NYR are heavily favoured by the media to win this series so your group can enjoy that psychological edge. You can hardly fault our group for playing the underdog card to fight back.

Hank did extremely well, particularly in the first which the Sens dominated, but you can hardly call the save on Stone 'spectacularly robbed' - the puck bobbled around his feet and the 2-3 seconds it took him to get it to his stick was more than enough time for HL to cover the shot. The Rags came back much stronger in the second and that was more like the Rangers I expect to see. We showed more than a few defensive chinks during the period.

The third was more even again and became a sudden death overtime for all intents and purposes. While there was an element of luck in the winner, I'm sure your group will get more than a few of those during the series with their 'get everything to the net' mentality. It's part of the game and I'm sure we're all in for a lot of nerve-wracking 1-goal decisions before this thing is over. The only thing everyone can really count is bad officiating which is the hallmark of NHL competition.

Good luck tomorrow. Go Sens go.

As much as I hate you guys, I hate the freakin' Senators even more. So dare I say, "Go Rags go!"

Silly question, do you even refer to your team as the "Rags", or is that a hate thing?

I say rags all the time. Some of the old geezers on this board take serious offense to it. Something about having rags shoved up their asses by islanders fans in the 80s.

Well clearly he's off by at least 1.

The safe money says any Ranger series will go 7 and with the killer goaltending displayed last night it looks to be a long one.

I searched my own tweets to them and apparently last year I asked them if Mike Ribeiro gives out hand jobs at truck stops. Guess that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Did they respond with an answer first? I bet a few people here would like to know, especially the ones that are always asking other men to perform oral on them lol

It was usually said in a derogative tone so no, didn't like it. Then people made it Rag$ & it was even more negative, I never understood why it was so hard to just write or type another 3 letters, typing Rangers isn't a very large chore.

C'mon Jan, why do you always do this? Its like you need your butt smooched constantly. I'm not trying to go to war here w you, I know I've said MANY times "nice write up Jan". "good work buddy". Almost all of us do, is it necessary every blog to literally say it here without you passive aggressively calling us out?
